The Toskan Casale Foundation has been named Outstanding Philanthropic
Foundation for 2008 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Greater
Toronto Chapter.

AFP works to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research,
education and certification programs and has been honouring
leadership in philanthropy through its annual award program
since 1995.

The Philanthropy Awards are an important way for AFP to
recognize those individuals, corporations, foundations and
groups who contribute their time and financial support to make
our local, national and international communities stronger.

At the core of the Toskan Casale Foundation is a belief in the
need to nurture compassionate communities. We are devoted
to exploring unique avenues of support that will enable
local grassroots organizations to serve at-risk people in our
communities. Our principal effort, the Youth and Philanthropy
Initiative is a unique program in Compassion Education that
is changing the world through the energy and empathy of
young people.

The Toskan Casale Foundation, along with other award winners,
will be honoured at a special Philanthropy Awards Luncheon
on November 26th in conjunction with Congress 2008.
